Tikor's Finest

Amazing First Day of the Patreon and Future Plans.

First off, thanks to everyone who has pledged, as well as anyone who has taken a look! I truly expected it to sit at $0 for a few days. I was certainly glad to be wrong about that one.

Now that this is Patreon page is up and going, I plan to use it as my nexus for all things Swordsfall. Since you all are essentially my paying clientele, it makes the most sense to post the bulk of the communication here.

So what’s going to happen with the Patreon going forward? Well anyone who Follows or becomes a Patron of Swordsfall will soon find out just how much goes into it. Prepare to be absolutely annoyed with how much content is going to come out and posts you’ll receive!

Well, depending on your level of Patron that is.

So let’s get into the details of what they offer as of this posting.

For the $Free.99 tier, you’ll see the post about content that is already posted to World Anvil and/or social media. Basically, you can treat this page as a newsfeed to inform of you on what’s going on with Swordsfall.

For the $1 Tier, the Swordsfall Supporter, you’ll get access to a more detailed Patreon feed. You’ll be able to see my detailed roadmap as well as an idea of where things are going. Such as which challenges or contests I’m participating in, when I hit milestones and etc. You’ll know that I disappeared for a month into NaNoWriMo for instance.

For the $3 Tier, the Swordsfall Reader, I assume that you want to know the real nitty-gritty about what’s going on behind the scenes of the project.  Or rather, in my brain. This is where the true action begins. You’ll get to hear about the origins of the characters, places, and animals that inhabit the world of Tikor. I strive to jampack each article with easter eggs from Africa. On this tier, I’ll just tell you where they are instead of making you guess.

For the $5 Tier, my mighty Swordsfall Invokers, I’m giving you the power of control over some of the direction of the project. I’ll be posting polls fairly often as I produce content. I regularly sit here trying to decide what article to produce next, so why not give my Invokers the chance to decide? Expect the first poll in the next few days.

For the $10 Tier, the Swordsfall Diviners, you get to see into the very future! You’ll hear about all the juicy stuff I’m working on that hasn’t been released on Patreon.  There is quite a bit of content stored as drafts on World Anvil or in my head. On this tier, I’ll also share my own personal musings about some of the concepts behind Swordsfall. As well as speculation on things to come and anything I think is material enough to share.

These last two tiers are the heavy hitters. In a lot of ways, I feel like the rewards I’m about to offer don’t quite equal the support your money gives. However, I wanted to make sure that right now my rewards are things I can do well and often. Hopefully, as the Patreon grows I can add in goodies like shirts! And when I do get limited goodies, this top tiers will get first dibs.

For the $25 tier, my Swordsfall GameMasters, we’ll focus on why you’re here. Bringing this dynamic and unique world to your group’s table. For your reward, I will be building exclusive scenarios for patrons of this tier.  I’ll most likely start with a poll with ideas that GameMasters can vote for. Then I’ll either work on them in that order or do the most voted one and come up with new scenarios for the next batch.

And last, but mightiest, is The Chosen. The humans hand-picked by the deities to be my favorite! You will seriously receive a picture of this ugly mug with a grand ol’ smile every month.  I feel like you deserved that. I’ll hold monthly Q&A’s about the world of Swordsfall with The Chosen as well. The biggest thank you though, is a sign printed copy of any material that published when you’re a Patreon member. That means the books and the tabletop game as well.

So that’s the plan going forward, as well as the last post before I begin to post things in their appropriate reward tiers.

Thanks again everyone that’s joined, there’s so much more to come!
