The Sun is a unique part of a planet’s ecosystem and a guiding beacon for humans. What exactly does the Sun represent on Tikor? In Swordsfall, it stands for life and radiant beauty.

The Sun, Ila the First

The Sun is the great refresher. The source of life and radiance. Being able to be under the sun’s radiance fills people with a sense of fulfillment. For the Sun Tarot Card, I wanted that to be reflected as well. I wanted this card to feel like the Sun. To the point where you can almost feel the sunshine on your face.

This is what Fluorescentwolf had to say about the finished Sun Tarot Card.

Working with the compositions of The World and The Sun at the same time, it really took some time to differentiate them both in composition and color. Refining The Sun a few times, I still was dissatisfied with it, and then at the last second, I threw everything out and redid it; I am much more satisfied with how it turned out. Let me know if you want any changes!

I’m more than pleased with how this card turned out. It’s a really great improvement from the Sun concept sketches.

Just from the character’s stance, you can feel the love for the Sun and its warming power. The way the character’s arm is outstretched to the Sun gives this nice warm feeling. Another fantastic tarot card to read the stars too.
